Several NAIFA-Maryland members met with Shivani from Senator Cardin's office and Griffin from Senator Van Hollen’s office recently to provide important input on legislation pending consideration before the U.S. Senate.

Key messages delivered included the following:

• The importance of getting Secure 2.0, with broad bipartisan support; on the calendar, passed, and to the President's desk before the close of the 117th Congress; and
• Monitor Department of Labor (DOL) efforts and caution against a Fiduciary-only standard.
